The Transit Connect comes with a single row of seats to maximise your load space.

Available in short (SWB) or long wheelbase (LWB) options, the Transit Connect provides up to 3.6 cubic metres of load space (VDA), can carry up to 865 kg of cargo†,and is available in bodystyles including van and double-cab-in-van.And with an ingenious load-through bulkhead, you’ll be able to transport long, awkward items too.

VAN

Spacious, well laid-out and highly functional: the loadspace features a full-height, full-width bulk-head (glazed or unglazed) and the choice of two or three seats in the cab. A sliding side load door and symmetrical rear cargo doors are fitted as standard. Plus, you can specify a glazed rear lift-gate with wash/wipe and heated de-mist option.

DOUBLE CAB-IN-VAN

As well as two seats in the front row, the Double-Cab-in-Van has an extra row of three seats behind them. A moveable mesh bulkhead safely separates the second row of seats from the loadspace.

Our 75 PS, 100 PS and 120 PS TDCi diesel engines impress with their refined power and superb efficiency. Whether your Transit Connect Van is on town or city roads or long drives on the motorway, their smooth torque delivery is invaluable on inclines or when overtaking.

TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION

Whether the signs are at the side of the road or above it, permanent or temporary, Traffic Sign Recognition can identify them. An icon of that speed or a no-overtaking sign appears on the Transit Connect Van instrument cluster and changes every time it detects you entering a new limit.

ACTIVE PARK ASSIST

Active Park Assist can steer you into parallel or perpendicular parking spaces. Simply push a button and the sensors of this innovative system locate a suitable space as you drive past. Then it automatically steers in your Transit Connect Van. All you do is operate the accelerator, gears and brake (following on-screen instructions and audible signals). It will pull out of parallel spaces as well.

PRE-COLLISION ASSIST

Pre-Collision Assist detects vehicles and pedestrians in the road ahead, or who could cross your van’s path, and warns you of their presence. If you don’t respond, the system automatically applies the brakes. This technology is designed to help reduce the severity of accidents, or help avoid them altogether, and functions at speeds of up to 80km/h (50 mph).
