A refined cruiser and agile urban maestro, the Sharan might be big but it’s great to drive. It handles like a Golf which is a huge compliment, and there’s a powerful range of TSI and TDI engines to choose from to suit your mileage.
Practicality
The boot’s enormous and the Sharan will tow a braked trailer up to 2,300kg if powered by the popular 2.0 TDI engine. Space for seven ensures the biggest families are catered for and there’s ISOFIX points on all three middle seats.
Living with it
Fuel economy of up to 56.5mpg combined ensures low running costs, and you can have a DSG transmission for lazy cruising. All models come with plenty of kit, including Front Assist with City emergency braking and Cruise Control on SE models.
